The Montafon ski area, which extends from Bludenz to the glaciers of the Silvretta mountains and the slopes of Piz Buin, is one of the largest ski areas in the Alps. With its 5 ski resorts and access to nearly 210km of well-equipped ski runs, both beginners and expert skiers will find full satisfaction in this ski area. The Monafon ski-pass is valid on the "Silvretta Nova“, but also in Gargellen and Lower Montafon. Due to its altitude, Gargellen has one of the highest snow cover guarantees in Austria.
The ski resorts are generally situated right next to the ski slopes meaning relaxed mornings and long, no-stress afternoons. This vast ski area has a something for everyone! From Austria's largest snow park, where snowboarders will get a real adrenaline rush, through to a great variety of steep black runs and off piste slopes to more gentle, family-friendly runs, we can guarantee that no-one will go home disappointed. The Nova and Hochjoch mountains offer a 1600m vertical drop! There are 8 ski/childcare facilities in this ski area - all of excellent high standards!
