Ski area Salzkammergut

The sunny region Salzkammergut has twenty different ski resorts and has a huge range of cross-country trails. The ski areas are small but good, sunny and easily accessible by car or ski bus. Actually, all of the Salzkammergut ski resorts are great destinations for families with children.

The Postalm is a vast, high plateau where you will find a very quiet little ski resort. Even on weekends you won't have to queue for the ski lifts. Besides beautiful ski slopes for beginners and intermediates, you can also go for snowshoe hikers in the Postalm ski area. The Gaissau-Hintersee ski area is the largest in this region and has 40 km of ski runs. The slopes are generally not difficult and there is a pleasant atmosphere on the slopes and in the mountain huts. The prices here are very friendly too with special nursery slopes rates and points cards.
