Heiterwang (Austria)

On one of the most beautiful mountain lakes in Austria, located between Reutte and Ehrwald, is the small town of Heiterwang at 984 meters of altitude. This tiny place (with only 532 inhabitants) is all about rest and relaxation. Heiterwang has a mini ski area with only 2 lifts which is very suitable for beginners who just want to have a go at skiing or snowboarding.

A bus connects Heiterwang with Bichlbach allowing the more advanced ski easy access to the large Skischaukel Berwang ski area. Heiterwang is also connection to the ski resorts of Zugspitz Arena ski area. For cross-country skiers Heiterwang offers approximately 20 km of tracks which are linked to the cross-country trails of the surrounding villages.
