Skiers and snowboarders rejoice: winter is not over yet! After experiencing end-of-season stress at the milder, almost spring-like temperatures and snow conditions in the Alps over the past few days, we can all heave a sigh of relief, as ski resorts in the Alps are expecting another dump of snow this weekend. Particularly exposed ski areas in Switzerland are expecting up to half a metre of fresh snow, and temperatures are falling across the entire alpine region. Below you’ll find an overview of the ski resorts in Austria, Italy, France, Germany and Switzerland which are expecting the most snow.
Cooler temperatures are expected to bring snow in many alpine ski resorts. Weather forecasters expect up to 65cm of snow over the next three days in Switzerland. In Austria, the snowfall will be more subdued, but the weather will still be wintry and cold, with negative temperatures. The French Alps might very well drop down into the negative double-digits, with snowfall expected in this country as well. Take a look at the weather forecast with this interactive map:

Early next week, Ischgl is expecting nightly lows of -10°C and Tignes-Val d’Isère is expected to drop as low as -20°C. There is no warm front in sight as of yet. Dress warm and enjoy this late-season gift from Mother Nature!
