Become an extreme snow sports film star

snowboarding.transworld.net

A great new event has appeared in Les Arcs this year: ARtCamS: A video contest which was launched on the 15th of December 2012 in which every winter sports lover can take part and show off their talents and tricks.

The contest is made up of two competitions, one for amateurs and one for the pros, and they both run throughout the winter season 2012/2013. The closing date for entries is the 31st of March 2013. So 2 months left to get filming...

Easy to enter

Entry is simple and the opportunity to participate is open throughout the winter season! Whether you ski, snowboard or practice another type of snow sport, all you need to do is find a team (up to 3 max including the cameraman) and make your video in the Les Arcs ski area.

Once you’ve captured your best tricks, simply edit your short film (up to 2 minutes max) and post it on the website dedicated to the event, http://lesarcs.com/lesartcams/ . Make sure you post your entry in the corresponding category (Pro or Amateur), and then depending on your winter sport (Ski / Snowboard / Cross Over). Finally, once the fruit of your film shooting sessions has been posted on the site, users can assign points for the film they consider the best.

Rewards that are well worth the effort...

The best footage, images, artistic or athletic performance will be rewarded. There are several fantastic prizes and rewards to be won, such as trips to Europe and the Mediterranean for the pros (offered by Sunweb Vacances) ski passes, ski , snowboard and video equipment for the amateurs!

So what are you waiting for – if you’re going to be in Les Arcs this winter, why not try your luck at being an extreme (or not) snow sports film star!

About Nikki

Being lucky enough to have parents who were crazy about skiing, my love for the mountains started when I was 4 years old on our first family ski holiday to Austrian ski resort of Obergurl. One ski holiday a year was never enough and tears rolled down my face as I looked out the back window of the car on the drive down the valley on the way home!
