Situated in the Rocky Mountains in Alberta, Canada, Castle Mountain Resort has almost 100km of ski slopes for all levels. Despite the generous terrain, it’s mostly all about the skiing and snowboarding here, and the base area is quite small. While it’s possible to stay in ski-in, ski-out accommodation right on the mountain, many people choose to find a hotel in one of the the neighbouring towns of Beaver Mines, Pincher Creek or Crowsnest Pass (gotta love those Canadian names, eh?).
Castle Mountain Resort has retained a strong sense of community and the ski resort is very family-friendly, with uncrowded slopes and a welcoming atmosphere. If you’re all about the skiing and snowboarding this is the place for you - no need to drive half an hour after your ski day, just grab a cup of hot cocoa at the base restaurant and snuggle up in your ski-in, ski-out holiday rental. The easiest way to get here from Calgary International Airport is to rent a car; Castle Mountain has free parking. Although the ski resort base area is tiny, you'll find a general store at Beaver Mines and a public swimming pool at Pincher Creek.
