Mals (also known as Malles Venosta) is a small Italian village in the Watles ski area. The village is located about 15 minutes drive from the slopes. Mals is especially popular among nature lovers and families with small children. This is because Mals is a very quiet village where you will not find exuberant après-ski here and bustling streets, but cozy bars and good restaurants.
The 15 kilometers of simple wide slopes here are especially suitable for beginners. Around Mals are some beautiful walking trails and 20 kilometers of cross-country tracks. In the village barns and hotels are neighbours. This is a very quiet and inexpensive ski holiday destination and therefore very suitable for family holidays. The nightlife in Mals is limited, but you will find the atmosphere of Austrian and Tyrolean hospitality rather than the Italian ski resort feel.
Het skigebied
The ski area of Mals covers 18 km of ski runs and is therefore especially suitable for beginners and children. Children can take their first ski lessons at the local ski school. Both group and private ski lessons are available here from Monday to Friday. There is are also a 4 km long toboggan run and 15 km cross-country tracks In the area.
