Sörenberg in short
-
Height: 1160 - 2350 metres
-
Excellent blue runs
-
Good off-piste area for beginner snowboarders
-
Large ski school
-
Beautiful surroundings
Sörenberg is a fun place for winter sports and prices here are very reasonable in comparison to some of the larger Swiss ski areas. The blue runs are delightful, giving less experienced skiers a real taste of what winter sports are all about. There is another ski area above the ski resort with a really difficult black slope that descends a steep, but wide run to the valley where experts can find thrills. When there is fresh snow, the landscape is transformed into a soft, white playground just perfect for beginners on snowboards who want to gain confidence. The ski school offers a large number of instructors for the size of the ski area.
With most of its skiing above 2000 metres of altitude, the Sörenberg ski area can guarantee excellent snow conditions throughout the season. There is a half pipe for snowboarders but they should bear in mind that there are many draglifts here which are often not particularly popular with snowboarders! There are also 38km of cross-country skiing trails surrounding the ski resort.
