Grimentz is perhaps the most beautiful ski resort of the entire Wallis. The wooden 16th century houses are still in their original state and serious efforts are made to make sure nothing changes. Tourists are most welcome to stay with the hospitable villagers but they should not expect a modern ski resort style welcome. The Grimentz ski area is on a north-east slope under the summits of Becs-de-Bosson (3149m) and de Roc dOrzival (2853m). The entire right side of the ski area consists of blue ski slopes, which means even beginners can enjoy the panoramic views from Roc dOrzival.
